Danzel started singing as a child – after becoming one of the 20 finalists in the music TV format IDOLS, the record label N.E.W.S. invited him to participate in the new version of the Black and White Brothers’ song – Pump it up.

Thus was born a new undisputed hit that sold over 4 million copies worldwide and made Danzel a factor in the dance music scene.

10 years on the world stage and dozens of new hits followed – Put your hands up in the air, You are all of that, My arms keep missing you (With DJ F.R.A.N.K), You spin me round, etc.

His show full of energy and surprises makes him one of the most sought-after artists in Europe, which is why we will also see him at the SPICE Music Festival on August 6, 2021.

“I can’t wait to get on stage at SPICE Music Festival after this crazy year that has passed. I’ve been watching videos from past editions of SPICE Music Festival – it looks incredibly impressive! So, Bulgaria, get ready for a really serious party this year too!” – says Danzel. And he adds:

Music helps us move forward after all kinds of trials, it keeps people together. So, listen to a lot of music and enjoy every single note.”

Although he continues to create today, the musician continues to draw inspiration from the 90s. Even from the 80s!

“Times were very different back then, there wasn’t that pressure and stress of being constantly on social media.” People had a much stronger connection in real life. And when it comes to music – I’ve always had very diverse interests. In the early 90s, I was writing a lot of rock music, listening to bands like Guns ‘N Roses and Metallica. After 2000, I dedicated myself to dance music. But what inspires me the most today is the sound of the 80s, like The Weekend for example.” – shares Danzel, for whom the 90s even have a taste – “Bacardi with cola, of course!”

Danzel has already been to Bulgaria and remembers his concerts in Sofia and Varna very well: “I always thoroughly enjoy the energy I receive from the Bulgarian audience. But after a whole year of not being on stage, I have so much energy inside me that urgently needs to come out, so expect an exceptional show!

All of us artists are so ready to get back on stage after this crazy year, so let’s enjoy this return like never before!

And the other artists we will see on the stage of SPICE Music Festival this year are Maxi Jazz from FAITHLESS, STEREO MC’s, COOLIO, C-BLOCK, DJ BOBO, Real McCoy, DJ Alice, U96, Leeroy Thornhill – Ex Prodigy, MASTERBOY, NANA, VENGABOYS, E-Type, Jenny from Ace of Base and, of course, the long-awaited reunion of Doni and Momchil, without whom the 90s in Bulgaria would never be the same!
